Hello, friends! I hope you guys are having a great week so far! It’s almost Hump Day, so get excited! This week has been really stressful so far. I have a lot on my plate right now as I am in rehearsals for Fame, rehearsing vocal and piano music for competitions,  memorizing audition monologues, and balancing that with school. It’s a lot to handle! However, I always try to not let stress get the best of me. A good friend once told me that “No stress, equals success”, and I think that’s totally true. It’s so easy to become overwhelmed by commitments and expectations, but just remember to take on one thing at a time. You’re only human! Here are some ways that help me destress:

  1. Prayer: I know a lot of you might not be religious, and that’s absolutely fine! I happen to be very religious and I find comfort in lifting my problems to God. If prayer isn’t your thing, try to meditate and imagine all the weights laid on you being lifted.
  2. Working Out: I really like working out! When I get my sweat on, it really helps me destress.
  3. Positive Mindset: It’s important to stay positive! Take your problems on with force! You can do this!
  4. Take Time For Yourself: Again, don’t become overwhelmed. Take care of yourself and enjoy some “you/me time”.
