Hello, friends! I am an avid coffee drinker. I love me a good cup o’ Joe to perk me up in the morning. I wake up at 5:30 a.m. every morning and arrive at school at 6:50, so I definitely need caffeine to get my blood flowing for the day. This morning, I decided that I was going to make a healthy smoothie for breakfast and forfeit my daily cup of coffee, and boy did I regret that.
I know that coffee isn’t all that healthy for you, but I feel like a cup a day keeps the sleepy away. However, I was deprived of that basic necessity this morning and I definitely paid for it throughout the day. I was dozing in and out of consciousness during my first two classes, which was so bad! I usually never do that! I also had a math test at the end of the day, which just did me in. By after school rehearsal, my brain was absolutely caput and I couldn’t focus on the steps I was learning or the movements to follow.
Fortunately, I got to treat myself to some Bojangles after school and commenced to eat seasoned fries on the couch with my sister. I needed that mental break.
Lesson learned: Get more sleep and don’t neglect the caffeine. Haha! I’ll talk to you guys later!
