10 Women That Inspire Me

Hello, friends! I hope you guys have been having a great week. This week has been a series of good days and bad days, but the weekend is here, so I’m on the up and up!

In AP Psychology this week, I learned that humans are the only organisms capable of personal growth and self-actualization. Isn’t that interesting? We’re the only species that is in active pursuit of fulfilling a purpose and bettering ourselves. I’m definitely always trying to be a better person. Luckily, there are many people in my life that inspire me to be kinder, wiser, stronger, and more humbler. Here are 10 women that inspire me.

My mom

I really admire how caring my mom is. She cares for our family in a way that I hope I can in the future. I love her.

My best friend, Savannah

Savannah is so hardworking and makes everything look effortless. I so look up to her work ethic. She’s also a friend to everyone and has the easiest, laid back personality.

My sister

I love that my sister is super dedicated to everything she does, but also knows when it’s time to have fun. I love that she makes an effort to maintain strong relationships with her friends and family.

My theatre teacher

My theatre teacher has taught me so much over the past couple of years. She’s so kind and makes everyone feel special, but knows how to take charge and lead.

My leadership teacher

I really look up to my leadership teacher at school. She’s a friend to everyone and always tries to lift people up.

My grandmothers

My Grammy is so loving and finds the good in everyone. I admire how hard she works and her positivity. My grandma on my mom’s side is so caring and would do anything for someone she loves. Both of them inspire me.

My Aunt Robin

My dad said that I remind him of my Aunt Robin and to me, that’s the best compliment ever. I strive to make everyone feel like they’re my best friend, just like she does. At the same time, my Aunt Robin is so hard working and strong.

My Aunt Cookie

My Aunt Cookie is so strong and is loved by so many. She’s just a powerful woman and I love her so much.

Sierra Boggess

Sierra Boggess is an actress that I admire so much for her talent and humbleness. Even though she lives in a busy theatre world, Sierra is so grounded and down to earth.

Meryl Streep

Meryl Streep is another actress that really inspires me. I love how versatile she is as an actress. She brings truth to every character, which I aim to do as an actress. Meryl Streep is also so graceful and wise.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I love to gush about my favorite people. Who are some women that inspire you? Who makes you want to be a better person?

My Goals For Senior Year

Hello, friends! I’m a senior! Can you believe it?! This is a super important year for me. It’s a year of lasts, but it’s also a time that where I am trying to figure out how the rest of my life is going to play out. I’m applying to colleges, enjoying senior perks, and trying to make the most out of my time in high school. Here are some of my goals for the year:

Grow in my relationships

Over the past four years, I’ve established wonderful relationships with my friends and teachers. While I think it’s important to make new friends, I want to take the time to really invest in the friendships that I already have.

Avoid Senior-itis

I’ve been in school for two weeks and it’s already been a struggle avoiding this. I need to remind myself that I’m still in school and have to continue my studies throughout the year.

Make the most out of every moment

Again, this is a year of lasts. I want to make sure that I thoroughly enjoy every moment that I can.

Be grateful

Applying to colleges is super stressful, but I think it’s important to remember that I am so freaking lucky to be able to go to college. I aim to practice gratitude for this gift and the blessings I’ve received throughout high school.

Be a role model

I remember being a freshman and really looking up to the senior class. They seemed to be so much older, cooler, and more mature. I hope to be a role model for others in my school, so they can have an even better high school experience.

August Beauty Favorites

Hello, friends! As we enter into this new month, I’d like to take some time to reflect on the happenings of August, specifically the beauty products that I used.

I’ve been trying to stay away from face makeup as much as I can, recently. I really don’t wear much foundation. I just apply a bit of transclucsent powder to blot out the oil and move on to emphasizing my eyes and such. This cuts down time on my beauty routine and benefits my skin.

Sensual Amber: This is my absolute favorite sent in the whole world. It’s discontinued at Bath and Body Works, but they bring it back during the Semi Annual Sale. It’s sweet, yet has this rich, muskiness to it. It’s perfect for fall.

NYX Lip Butter Lipstick in “Little Susie”: This lipstick is great for a pop of color, especially when the rest of my face is simple. It’s a rich, hot pink shade that adds a bit of moisture to the lips.

Covergirl “The Super Sizer” Mascara: I have been using this mascara all month long! It does a great job of adding length and volume to my lashes. It also stays put, allowing my lashes to look great all day long.I think this might be one of the best mascaras I’ve ever tried. I did a review of this product on the blog a couple weeks ago, if you want to check it out. Here’s the link:
