Hello, friends! I hope you’ve been doing well. I’m so sorry that I haven’t posted in a while. The past couple of months have been so crazy that I haven’t had time to sit down and write. These next couple of months should be pretty crazy too, but I haven’t forgotten about you! Today I would like to share with you some of my favorite things over the past couple of months, as well as what has been going on in my life.
Wet N Wild Megalast Nail Polish in “Disturbia”
I love dark nail shades and this color is perfect for fall. It’s a vampy purple color with a bit of shimmer to it. Say hello to my signature nail color.
Bare Minerals Prime Time Oil Absorbing Primer
I haven’t been wearing much foundation lately, but I love using this primer to keep my face shine free. A drop of this primer, a bit of setting powder, and I’m ready to go. It’s super mattifying and increases the longevity of your face makeup.
Revlon Lipstick in “Rum Raisin”
Not only is this lipstick inexpensive, but it’s so moisturizing and a gorgeous color.I’m not brave enough for super dark lips, so this shade allows me to dip my toe into the pool of dramatic lip colors. It’s a rosy-mauve shade that adds just a bit of edge to my look.
Maybelline Pumped Up Colossal Mascara
This stuff makes my lashes look like fluttery fairy wings. It’s super lengthening and makes my lashes feel soft and natural. I love this mascara for everyday wear.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrushed Foundation
This foundation is great for everyday wear and gives me light/medium coverage. I love how natural it looks, while evening out my skin tone. My favorite thing about this product is that it’s made from natural ingredients that won’t irritate your skin. Super healthy, organic, and lovely.
Poison and Wine by The Civil Wars
I can’t get enough of this song. It’s so beautiful and always puts me in a chill mood.
Twelvefour by the Paper Kites
I’ve been a fan of the Paper Kites since my freshman year and am so excited that they released this album. It’s filled with super chill indie music that’s great to study or hang out to. My favorite songs from the album are “Renegade” and “I’m Lying To You Cause I’m Lost”.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. TAYLOR SWIFT IS MY FALL MUSIC. I listen to her all throughout fall, because it just makes sense. You just have to. My favorite songs are “All Too Well” (under appreciated, but a classic), “Begin Again”, “Sparks Fly”, and “Welcome To New York”.
At The Bottom Of Lake Missoula
I just got finished with a show! I had the opportunity to play the lead role of a girl whose entire family was killed by a tornado. The story follows her through her grieving period until she finally starts to gain acceptance. I loved working with this amazing cast and I am so proud of what we did with this show. We did the acting thing thing!
I’m pretty much done with my college applications and have started working on my scholarship applications. I’m on the up and up! As of right now I want to major in theatre with a double major in journalism.
I turned 18 this month! It doesn’t feel much different, but I have a bit more freedom and that’s nice. When will I start acting like an adult? Probably never. When will I start feeling like one? We’ll see when we get there.
So far, fall has been a good time. The two most important things I’ve learned this month are that sometimes it’s better to develop the relationships you have rather than trying to have a bunch of surface friends. I’ve also been guided by the quote “Don’t shine so others can see you. Shine so others can see him”, by C.S. Lewis. I’m a performer, and I’m always looking for attention. I want people to notice me. Lately, I’ve been trying to be present in the moment and do good to do good. I don’t always need to be recognized.
I hope you guys have been having an awesome month so far. Thanksgiving is on its way, so don’t forget to step back and be grateful for what you have. Love you guys.
