Young And Twenty

Hello, friends! I am fortunate to have been able to guest write on a fellow member of the Word Press community’s blog, Young and Twenty. Check out the link to my article below, where I give you all my perspective of being both young and (almost) twenty. Thank you again, Jennifer, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this project. Go check out her blog! I will have the link posted below.

Lunch With Friends

Hello, friends! I just recently went to lunch with one of my best friends at this cute little restaurant we haven’t tried before. It was so nice getting to catch up and spend quality time with her, while chowing down on some delicious grub. Well, fancy grub.

The restaurant we visited was actually on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, which peaked my interest. We went to 300 East Restaurant, which is known for its delicious food and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant itself was adorable and located in a really cute area. But the main event, the food, was the real star here. I got a Reuben Cuban Sandwich, complete with sausage, sauerkraut, and melted cheesy goodness. This is a must-try, you guys. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

Anyways! I hope you all had a good week and if you’re dreading Monday, I’m sending you hugs and food-filled wishes. Talk to you soon!

The Happiness Tag

Hello, friends! I am currently loving life right now as I am writing this post. I am currently sitting in my local coffee shop, sipping on an iced caramel macchiato and munching down on an everything bagel with cream cheese. Life is good, y’all, life is good.

I was tagged by Storytellingcook from Recipe in a Bottle to do the “Happiness Tag”, in which you list five things that make you happy and encourage others to do the same. Here are five things that make me happy:

You will see this image very soon in an upcoming blog post! Stay tuned! 😉

#1: Exploration

I love discovering new things, whether it may be hobbies, like photography or blogging, or new places like the amazing brunch place I discovered the other day. It’s always nice to take a break from the same old routine and spice things up a little bit.

I am a self-proclaimed foodie. I watch The Cooking Channel regularly, am always on the lookout for new restaurants, and love to cook. I’m always inspired by the chefs that I see on The Cooking Channel, because they’re so passionate about their food. For them, cooking is more than creating tasty dishes. It’s about connecting people with each other, memories, and different cultures. For me, the bagel that I’m currently eating is just a bagel, but it’s definitely reminding me why I love food so much.

Some of my favorite days are days when I’m hanging out with my friends and family. Especially now that I’m going to college, it’s important for me to stay connected to the people that I love. Whether that be through a coffee date where my friend and I talk for hours or a board game that my whole family gets into, there’s nothing better than this time. Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

#4: Creativity

I don’t think I could ever be happy in an environment where I’m not able to be creative. I once heard a quote that says, “Creativity is intelligence having fun”. Creativity is definitely a relative term that is used differently by people. For me, creativity means being able to have fun and put a bit of myself into what I do. When I’m creating a character on stage or creating a painting on canvas, I love being able to make the final product what I want.

#5: Chill time at the end of the day

Every night, after I get ready to go to bed, I sit in bed with either my laptop, my phone, or a book and relax a bit before I go to sleep. Let me tell you, hunkering down with an episode of Friends and a cozy blanket at the end of the day is pure bliss and it definitely keeps me happy.

Alright, you guys! I hope you enjoyed this post! I am going to leave the people I tag to do this tag below, but I encourage you all to recreate this post and reflect on what makes you happy. Let’s spread the happiness, people! If you’re not into writing a whole post on the Happiness Tag, tell me: What makes you happy?
